Put on your walking shoes And let the story begin....

This page will soon have stories about the area around the Seagate and the harbour. Read about an amazing co-incidence discovered when the last Trail panel went up on the wall at 12 Seagate, (by kind permission of John A. Smith and Son, who have been supplying fuel to fishing boats and household heating oil for over 50 years). What is the connection between a well established Peterhead family business and an accident-prone German U-boat? Wait and see!

There will be more on the New Model Lodging House, just a few hundred yards along the road at 22 Seagate.

Find out what John Smeaton, the father of civil engineering, was doing in Peterhead harbour, and for those following the shorter Red route, there will be some information on the brilliant community art project in Cooperage Square created by the tenants of Langstane Housing Association.

Keep checking back for updates!
